Fish - The Carp

First seen on Thursday 4th May 2017 at Croome

The Carp is another fish that can be found in the waters at Croome. Although called it's called a river, the long stretch of water running through Croome for over a mile is just a very clever piece of landscaping by Capability Brown. There is no real flow of water to help clear this lake, so it is not always easy to see fish at Croome. Bridges are often good places to look, but these carp (there were seven of them) were basking in the shallows in front of The Grotto.
