Ducks, Grebes and Coots - The Coot

First seen on Saturday 12th March 2016 at Croome

Coots can usually be found on lakes and ponds and they like to be in or near the reeds. They are easily identified by their white (bald) forehead. This gives rise to the expression 'as bald as a coot'. They also have quite piercing red eyes.
