Hover-flies - Eristalis Tenax

First seen on Friday 15th February 2019 at Croome

This little hoverfly, is possibly Eristalis Tenax - there are thousands of different species, so you can never be quite sure. It's also known at the Common Drone Fly and it's a honey bee mimic. It is very similar to the Tapered Drone Fly but this one has dark front legs and thick rear legs.
