Hover-flies - Eupeodes Luniger

First seen on Saturday 25th March 2017 at Croome

Eupeodes Luniger is one of many similar species of hoverfly which have a bronze thorax and black and yellow abdomen. This species has a yellow face, and the curved yellow patches on the abdomen not only don't meet in the middle, they don't go all the way to the outside. They are a migrant species, so fly long distances. They are more common in the south.
