Beetles - The Four-spot Ladybird

First seen on Saturday 3rd June 2017 at Croome

The 4 spot ladybird is also known as the pine ladybird, as it is often found near conifers. Unlike the more familiar ladybirds, this one is in reverse - red spots on black. It normally has two regular spots at the back and two larger 'comma' shaped spots at the front. It also has a rim around the wing case. This one was found near the pond at the far south of the river.
