Bugs - The Hawthorn Shieldbug

First seen on Saturday 15th September 2018 at Croome

The Hawthorn Shield Bug is yet another variety of shield bug, this one feeding on Hawthorn berries (plus other trees such as oak, hazel and birch). They have a very distinctive colouration of green and brown, plus blood red tips to the lateral extensions of the pronotum (the shouldery bits). This one was found on a hawthorn by the lake.
