The Lackey Moth caterpillar is one of the more common and recognisable caterpillars - possible die to the memorable blue/orange/black/white stripes, or may be due to its cartoon-like big blue face with big black eyes (which just a pattern in the fur), They hatch out in large webs and you can sometimes see hundreds crawling around a single web. The webs can often be found on apple, blackthorn and hawthorn trees. The moth is medium sized and has broad pale orange bands and a furry appearance.
