Beetles - The Lily Beetle

First seen on Tuesday 1st May 2018 at Croome

The Lily Beetle can easily be confused with the Cardinal Beetle as they are both bright red with black heads. The Lily Beetle however, has a plain antennae rather than comb-like, it is much smaller (about half the size) and its wing cases are glossy with little indentations. Adults (as their name suggests) feed on lily leaves)
