Hover-flies - Myathropa Florae

First seen on Friday 9th June 2017 at Croome

Myathropa Florea is a bit of a mouthful of a name. I prefer its nickname - The Dead Head or Death's Head Hoverfly. The name comes from the pattern on its thorax (back) which resembles a black skull with white eyes.
