Beetles - The Nettle Weevil

First seen on Saturday 3rd June 2017 at Croome

Weevils are a group of small beetles, usually flightless, and often vegetarian, feeding on plants. This one, as the name suggests lives on stinging nettles, and the larvae feed on the roots. They can be blue-green through golden green, as the colour wears off with age.
