Bees - The Nomad Bee

First seen on Monday 1st April 2019 at Croome

The Nomad Bee is a family of bees, many of which have wasp-like markings. There are hundreds of species in this family, but only 34 are known in the UK. This one is probably Nomada goodeniana or Gooden's Nomad Bee. They are about 1cm long and usually fly in spring or early summer (April-June) visiting the spring-flowering blossoms
