Corvids - The Raven

First seen on Sunday 17th April 2016 at Croome

You can see ravens flying anywhere in the parkland. They are the largest birds in the crow family, and have a very large beak. You will probably hear a raven before you see it - they have a very deep call (cronk-cronk).

They will land at the top of tall trees, and at Croome the best place to see them is in the centre of the main parkland between the house and the lake, where they can often be seen in the cedar tree, or nearby dead trees.
