Beetles - The Seven-spot Ladybird

First seen on Saturday 25th March 2017 at Croome

There are many species of ladybird, most of which are conveniently distinguished simply by counting their spots. This seven-spot ladybird is the most common one, and is the gardener's friend, as they eat aphids. This particular one was found in the shrubbery in March, an early riser, after winter hibernation.
