Pigeons and Pheasants - The Stock Dove

First seen on Thursday 3rd March 2016 at Croome

Stock doves can be found flying around the parkland, and grazing in the surrounding farm fields. They can also be found under the feeders looking for some easy food!

Although at first glance they look like feral pigeons, stock doves are subtly different. They are quite plain, other than a striking patch of iridescent green on the neck. They also have large black eyes, which look a lot 'kinder' than the pigeon's piercing eyes.
