Bumblebees - The Tree Bumblebee

First seen on Monday 3rd April 2017 at Croome

This bumblebee has quite unique colouration - mostly dark, with a bright red-brown area around the head and shoulders and a white tail. As the name suggests, these bumblebees nest in holes in trees. This one was found in the shrubbery.
