Dippers, Dunnocks, Wrens and Starlings - The Wren

First seen on Thursday 10th March 2016 at Croome

This tiny bird is more often heard than seen, with its very loud song with a trill at the end. Wrens can be found all over the estate and can often be seen flying very low between bushes, and rummaging around on the ground. The best place to get a clear view (as with most of the garden birds) is on the bird feeders. Although they rarely feed on the feeders, they can often be seen below, or walking in and out of the dead wood on the ground.

The wren below was seen at the feeders in front of the bird hide, but the second one was in another favourite spot for wrens - by the water. this one was at the lake edge.
