Beetles - The Figwort Weevil

First seen on Thursday 27th May 2021 at Gibside

This tiny (4-5mm) Figwort Weevil is a very odd looking beetle, but at least it's quite straightforward to identify, with its black and white striped ridges, dark spot and its antenna way down on its elongated head. Although widespread in the UK, it is less common in the north. As the name suggests, they feed on Figwort. This one was in the Walled Garden.
