The Grey Wagtail is usually found beside water, although it does depend on the level of the water. They tend to patrol the edge of the water looking for food. They don't stay still for too long, and frequently fly from one side of the water to the other. This one was a bit of an exception - looking for insects on a roof near the visitor centre. Easy to spot when they are wagging their tails, but don't confuse the 'grey' wagtail with the pied wagtail. Pied wagtails are black and white (and a few shades of grey) but the grey wagtail (confusingly) has a vivid yellow underside. There is also a yellow wagtail to add to the confusion, but they are all over yellow.
