Another bird that is often faithful to the same spots, pied wagtails can usually be found where there are people, for example they are commonly found in supermarket car parks. At Gibside they don't seem to be as common - this one was found in the walled garden. Pied Wagtails are all over black, white and grey (although a Grey Wagtail is very different) having a yellow underside.
