The Great Black-backed Gull is the largest of the four common gulls. Easy to confuse with the Lesser Black-backed gull, but the Great has pink legs and the Lesser has bright yellow legs. Sadly that ID tip is not a lot of use when they are swimming. Unlike the other 3 of our more common gulls, the Great Black-backed Gull is rarely found inland.
