Corvids - The Jackdaw

First seen on Monday 2nd March 2020 at Holy Island

Jackdaws are quite noisy birds and you will often hear their metallic 'jack-jack-jack' call as they fly from tree-top to tree-top and argue about who has the best perch. At first glance, corvids can look similar - Jackdaws are the smallest, and have the characteristic grey hood, and lovely pale blue eyes. They seem to like the warmth of chimney pots and can often be seen on village rooftops.
