Warblers, Crests and Flycatchers - The Pallas’s Warbler

First seen on Friday 21st October 2022 at Holy Island

The Pallas's Warbler is quite a rare bird, although there were several on the Island when I saw this one. They are brought in on easterly winds from Asia. There are dozens of species of warblers, many looking similar. However, this one has a pale stripe down the middle of its crown, making it a bit easier to identify than some. This one was actually in the car park, so I didn't have far to walk to see it!
