Dippers, Dunnocks, Wrens and Starlings - The Wren

First seen on Wednesday 29th July 2020 at Holy Island

This tiny bird is more often heard than seen, with its very loud song with a trill at the end. Wrens can be found all over the island and can often be seen flying very low between bushes, and rummaging around on the ground, in and out of the wood on the ground. When they sing, they often perch on posts or exposed branches.
