Ducks, Grebes and Coots - The Pochard

First seen on Sunday 13th June 2021 at Druridge Pools

The Pochard is not a very common duck in Northumberland, and so far I've only seen one at a couple of National Trust sites. The male is quite distinctive, having a brown head, grey body, and dark front and back. They also have bright red eyes. Like many ducks, the female is much more drab in colour - an overall mottled brown.
