Beetles - The TwentyTwo-spot Ladybird

First seen on Tuesday 1st June 2021 at Druridge Pools

The TwentyTwo-spot Ladybird is a yellow species, and the spots are on the pronotum (the shoulders bit) as well as the wing cases. It is very small, at around 4mm long. They feed on the mildew on plants.


 

There are two colour variations, one where the pronotum is yellow (above), the other where it is white (below).
