Finches and Buntings - The Twite

First seen on Sunday 18th October 2020 at Druridge Pools

Finches can start looking a bit similar sometimes, and Twite are similar to Linnets. However, they have smaller, pale yellow beaks, and a plain plain buff coloured throat. They can also look very similar to Redpolls, but lack the obvious red patches. These were in fields at the north end of the reserve and are usually very mobile, moving from bush to bush, and fence to fence, never staying still for more than a few moments!
