Pigeons and Pheasants - The Red Grouse

First seen on Thursday 19th April 2018 at North Wales

Red Grouse live on heather moorland in the west and north of the UK. The males (left) are a dark red-brown, with brights "wattle" over their eyes. Females are much paler, more yellowish, as shown on the right. I first saw these in North Wales, but subsequently in the Cairngorms and more locally in the Durham Moors.
