Waders - The Grey-headed Lapwing

First seen on Monday 1st May 2023 at The Northumberland Coast

This Grey-headed Lapwing caused quite a stir when it arrived at Low-Newton-by-the-Sea. It has never been seen before in the UK. It normally lives in China, so this one was well off course. People were flocking from all over the country to see it. It did move on from Low Newton and spent several days at nearby Long Nanny before moving off to the Highlands and then the Outer Hebrides.
