Moths - The Burnet Companion

First seen on Monday 16th June 2014 at Rodborough Common

The Burnet Companion moth is not actually a member of the Burnet moth family. It gets its name from the fact that is is often found in the 'company' of the Burnet moths. The Burnet Companion has lovely warm brown colours and you can just glimpse the bright yellow on their hind-wings. In fact their underwings are quite a striking yellow, but like most moths, not always easy to see. They fly in May and June.
