Crickets - The Conehead Cricket

First seen on Monday 26th August 2013 at Rodborough Common

This cricket's full name is actually the Long-winged Conehead Bush-cricket. The rather odd composition of the photo shows just how long the antennae are in crickets. It gets its name from the shape of its head. Quite a large cricket (up to 2cm) they are common on rough grasslands.
