Moths - The Small Fan-footed Wave

First seen on Sunday 6th July 2014 at Tyntesfield

The Small Fan-footed Wave Moth is quite small, with a wingspan of just over 2cm. Normally creamy white (this one shows a blue tinge being in shady grass). It gets its name from the wavy patterns on its wing. It is very similar to many Wave Moths (...so apologies if this the wrong ID). Daytime flying in June-August. This one was found at Tyntesfield.
