Moths - The Small Fan-footed Wave

First seen on Sunday 6th July 2014 at Tyntesfield

The Small Fan-footed Wave Moth is quite small, with a wingspan of just over 2cm. Normally creamy white (this one shows a blue tinge being in shady grass). It gets its name from the wavy patterns on its wing. It is very similar to many Wave Moths ( apologies if this the wrong ID). Daytime flying in June-August. This one was found at Tyntesfield.
