Peregrines are large, powerful and very fast raptors. They hunt pigeons, wading birds and small ducks. At Threave Gardens there is a pair nesting in the castle on an island by the nature reserve, so these views are a bit distant unfortunately. In the first photo the falcon has some prey in its talons - possibly a jackdaw.
