Pigeons and Pheasants - The Turtle Dove

First seen on Saturday 8th September 2018 at RSPB Titchwell Marsh

The Turtle Dove is an increasingly rare summer visitor, mainly found in the east of England. They like the edges of woodland, hedgerows, stubble fields etc. Although quite distinctively patterned with chequered orange and brown wings, they can also be identified by their purring call.
