Bugs - The Box Bug

First seen on Tuesday 22nd August 2017 at Croome

The Box Bug is very similar to the Dock Bug, but lacks the two extra tiny antennae. It also has a stripy edging to its body. As the name suggests it feeds on Box trees, as well as other trees such as Hawthorn or Yew.

The tiny Box Bug nymph (below) is green, and has disproportionately large antennae.
