Geese and Swans - The European White-Fronted Goose

First seen on Wednesday 7th January 2009 at WWT Slimbridge

There are three flavours of White-fronted Goose. This one (the European) is the most commonly seen in the UK. They are very similar to a Greylag Goose, but have a pink bill rather than orange, white flash above their bills and adults have black barring on their belly. They can be seen in good numbers (hundreds) in Slimbridge.
