Tits, Nuthatches and Tree Creepers - The Blue Tit

First seen on Wednesday 5th February 2020 at Gibside

Blue tits are one of our most colourful birds. They can be found anywhere on the estate, but do love the bird feeders. They rarely stay still, taking a single seed from the feeder and then flying off to a nearby branch to eat it.

As you walk around the estate, if you see a tiny bird fly from tree to tree, and you see where it lands, more often than not it will turn out to be a blue tit - especially if you are looking for a less common bird!
