Gulls - The Caspian Gull

First seen on Thursday 25th August 2022 at the North-east Coast

The Caspian Gull is a rare winter visitor, mostly in the south and east of the UK. It comes from Central Europe. It is similar to a Herring Gull, but has a distinctive dark eye. This one had an added bonus for identifying it, a leg-ring! It was found in the harbour at Amble in Northumberland.
