Larks, Pipits and Wagtails are each large families of birds. They have pointed beaks and tend to be insect feeders, mostly feeding on the ground, They are often found on farmland.

Croome, being home to cattle and sheep will attract farmland birds such as these. They tend to either feed on insects near livestock, or seeds and grubs on fields growing crops (and Croome has many crop fields on the outskirts).
