Woodpeckers, Kingfisher and Cuckoo of Croome

Cuckoo

Great-spotted Woodpecker

Green Woodpecker

Kingfisher

Not strictly speaking a family of birds, but more of an odds and ends collection. The woodpeckers are resident all year round. The Cuckoo is a summer visitor, and the Kingfisher an occasional one, at any time.

The shrubberies and the large area of trees near the statue of the druid and continuing all around the back of the lake are good places to see and hear Woodpeckers. Kingfishers can be seen all along the river and Cuckoos are usually just distantly heard!
