Feral Pigeons are the ones you will see in and around town centres. They can have all sorts of colour variations, including areas of brown, or an overall dark grey colour. They are descendants of the Rock Dove, but you will only see wild Rock Doves in the north west of Scotland and Ireland. This one is a particularly manky one, and as it is ringed it may well once have been a racing pigeon. The eye is different to both stock doves and wood pigeons - feral pigeons have orange eyes.
