Crab Spiders (Thomisisdae) get their name from their first two pairs of legs, which being longer makes them look a bit like a crab. They also have a crab-like sideways walk. Rather than spin a web, crab spiders lie in wait for prey to pass by.
The one below was found in scrubland near the Rotunda. Its latin name is Xysticus Cristatus and they are very common - they are known as the Common Crab Spider.

This one I think is or Xysticus Ulmi. It was found in the Shelter Belt.
