Waders - The Golden Plover

The Golden Plover is similar to a Grey Plover, but has golden-brown plumage rather than grey. The Grey Plover is usually found on the shore, whereas Golden Plovers can often be found further inland, often on meadows and salt marsh. On Holy Island, Golden Plovers are often in the meadows, but here they are feeding on the shore line, not far from the Castle.
