Geese and Swans - The Egyptian Goose

First seen on Tuesday 11th May 2021 at Druridge Pools

The Egyptian Goose is a rather odd patchwork of shades of brown, with a striking brown patch around their orange eyes. They are an introduced species, but have been breeding in the UK for many years. They can be found mostly in the south, so they are not very common in Northumberland. They can mostly be found near lakes and reservoirs. This one spent a while on the Budge Fields.
