The Garden Snail, as you'd expect, is the one you find in your garden, but they are also found on dunes and woods. They are one of the larger snails found in the UK and very common, although they are mainly nocturnal, so you will usually just see the shell. The shell is very often flecked with white and has yellow zigzag lines.
