Tits, Nuthatches and Tree Creepers - The Great Tit

First seen on Friday 28th August 2020 at Druridge Pools

The Great Tit is one of our most common back-garden birds. Like the Blue Tit, Great Tits can be found in the hedgerows along the coast, but are not very easy to see as they stay hidden in the branches (they are much easier to see on feeders). Striking black, white, green/yellow plumage make this an easy bird to identify. Their song is a classic 'teacher-teacher' sound, but has many variations. I often hear a strange bird song, and on closer inspection usually find its just a Great Tit.
