Little Owls, as their name suggests are the UK's smallest owl. They will often perch out on a tree or farm building during daylight hours. They are however quite small and usually well hidden. They do like to keep well away from people, so you'll need binoculars to see them. This photograph was taken with a very long telephoto lens.
