Frequently seen on bird feeders and seldom alone, these cute birds also fly around the reserve in flocks, moving from tree to tree. They are easily identified from their long tails and rounded bodies, making them look a bit like lollypops (our nickname for them). Their colours are quite distinctive - white, black and pink, and their eyes are deep red with yellow lids. They have a very small beak and talk and chatter to each other with a metallic chirping, which you often hear before you see them.
