Moths - The Middle-barred Minor

First seen on Thursday 1st July 2021 at Druridge Bay

Middle-barred Minor is a member of the Noctuidae family of moths, which are medium sized, thickset, with flowing markings. They are normally nocturnal moths, so it was unusual to see this one active in the daytime (although it was only walking not flying). It has subtle orange/grey/brown pattern, but with two characteristic white lines above and below a central dark area.
