This was my very first view of Otters at Druridge, but it was a very distant view. There were two of them, swimming across the North Pool into the reeds in the far corner (where they disappeared). The Otter is rare in the UK, but is slowly making a comeback and can be seen in more and more places, although not easy to see. They are quite large (60-80cm) and feed mainly on fish plus other water creatures.
